We regret to announce that NXT:GEN Dresden, scheduled to take place as part of the 30th SZ Fahrradfest, has been cancelled following the organizer's decision to call off the entire event due to severe weather conditions.
After initially receiving the green light earlier today, the organizers were forced to reassess the situation based on updated weather forecasts. The German Weather Service (DWD) is predicting an extreme heatwave across the weekend, with temperatures expected to reach 37–41°C, while Sunday also carries a high risk of severe thunderstorms, strong wind gusts, hail and heavy rainfall.
The safety and well-being of athletes, spectators, volunteers and staff remain our highest priority. Under these conditions, it is not possible to guarantee a safe event despite extensive precautionary measures.
We understand how disappointing this news is for everyone involved - especially for the riders who were preparing to compete for a NIGHT of the JUMPs wildcard and valuable points towards the 2026 NXT:GEN season standings. We share this disappointment and would like to thank all athletes, partners and fans for their understanding.
We are currently in close contact with the organizers of the SZ Fahrradfest to evaluate the possibility of a replacement date. As soon as further information becomes available, it will be communicated through our official channels.
Should no alternative event date be found - or should registered athletes be unable to attend the replacement event - all entry fees (€35) will be fully reimbursed.
We sincerely thank everyone for their patience and continued support. Our team remains committed to providing a safe and unforgettable platform for the next generation of freestyle athletes, and we look forward to welcoming the NXT:GEN community back on course soon.
