THE NEXT GENERATION TAKES OFF!
On August 21 and 22, Dornbirn will become the meeting point for the next generation of freestyle sports. NXT:GEN by NIGHT of the JUMPs brings young MTB, BMX and Scooter riders to Vorarlberg – all with one big goal: to prove themselves on the ramps and take the next step towards NIGHT of the JUMPs.
NXT:GEN is more than just another freestyle contest. The idea behind the format is simple: young talent needs more than places to train. Riders need real stages, real competitions and, above all, a real pathway forward.
That is exactly what NXT:GEN provides.
On Friday, August 21, and Saturday, August 22, 2026, promising young riders, ambitious amateurs and experienced professionals will come together at the Kulturhausplatz in Dornbirn.
They will train together, learn from each other, push new tricks, compete – and maybe take the decisive step towards an international career.
FROM AMATEUR RIDER TO THE BIG STAGE
For more than 25 years, NIGHT of the JUMPs has brought some of the world’s best freestyle athletes into major arenas around the globe. With NXT:GEN, this world is now opening up directly to the next generation.
And the sporting incentive in Dornbirn could hardly be bigger:
The best eligible upcoming rider will earn a Wildcard for NIGHT of the JUMPs and the opportunity to perform in front of thousands of spectators on the big stage.
But that is not all.
The winner of the NXT:GEN Tour can earn a Season Contract, creating a genuine pathway from individual grassroots competitions into an international professional environment.
What can otherwise take years suddenly becomes a clear and visible journey:

TWO DAYS OF FREESTYLE IN THE HEART OF DORNBIRN
The weekend starts on Friday with training and open sessions.Riders will have the chance to get familiar with the course, ride together and prepare for the competition. At the same time, NXT:GEN is deliberately designed to remain open and accessible.
Riders, fans and the local scene do not meet in a closed arena somewhere outside the city. They come together right in the heart of Dornbirn.
On Saturday, things get serious.
After training and qualification, riders head into the decisive runs. MTB, BMX and Scooter athletes will show their best tricks and battle for a place in the finals.
But NXT:GEN is not simply about who can throw the biggest trick. Style, technical difficulty, control, creativity and the development of young riders are all part of the DNA of the format.
What makes it especially valuable for upcoming talent is the professional environment. Young riders are not competing on a small side course. They experience a professional event setup and meet athletes, media teams and crew members from the world of NIGHT of the JUMPs.
That creates exactly the combination NXT:GEN was built for:

ACTION SPORTS MEETS THE ALPS
Dornbirn is almost the perfect location for NXT:GEN. Vorarlberg has a strong bike and outdoor culture and sits directly in the three-country region between Austria, Germany and Switzerland.

For spectators, that means getting close to the action, meeting riders, watching training, following the qualification rounds and creating a proper atmosphere during the finals.
Admission is free.
