Munich Is Next: The Battle for the Season Is On

NOTJ

14. Apr. 2026

With the title race wide open and key riders under pressure, Munich sets the stage for the next decisive chapter.

The 2026 NIGHT of the JUMPs World Tour Championship continues - and after a dramatic and unpredictable season opener in Berlin (Feb 2026), all eyes are now on Munich.

On April 25th 2026, the world's most spectacular freestyle motocross series returns to Olympiahalle, bringing together the best FMX, MTB, BMX and Scooter athletes for the second stop of the season.

After Berlin, one thing is certain: the title race is wide open.

Adrenaline and High Stakes in Munich

Following the emotional and twist-filled opener in Berlin, Munich becomes the first real turning point of the 2026 season.

A world-class lineup, a historic venue, and a crowd known for its energy create the perfect setting for:

  • new trick premieres

  • record-breaking jumps

  • intense head-to-head battles

Every run counts. Every trick matters.

With new riders entering the competition and established athletes under pressure, Munich could significantly shift the overall rankings.

Munich Line-Up

FMX: Luc Ackermann, Libor Podmol, Marc Pinyol, Hannes Ackermann, Matej Cesak, Mikolaj Tempka, Davide Rossi and Leo Fini (reserve: Mike Pfister)

MTB: Alejandro Bonafe, Tom Pfeiffer, Lennox Zimmermann, Lucas Huppert, Dan Miler, Reto Heini and Jerome Hollinger

BMX: Leon Binckebanck

Scooter: Maty Pekarek and Petr Castka

FMX: Title Fight Wide Open

The absence of Berlin winner Pat Bowden reshapes the competition entirely.

With valuable championship points on the line, the fight for the top is more open than ever:

  • Luc Ackermann enters Munich under pressure after missing out in Berlin and now needs a podium finish to stay in the title race.

  • Marc Pinyol (second in Berlin) has the opportunity to take control of the standings and establish himself as the rider to beat.

  • Davide Rossi and Libor Podmol are ready to challenge with high-difficulty combinations and consistent runs.

Munich will play a decisive role in shaping the championship.

Scissor Lift Backflip in Munich

One of the standout moments of the events will be the attempt by Marc Pinyol to perform his world-record backflip from a 12-metre-high scissor lift - a move that has made history in Dresden last year.

MTB, BMX & Scooter: New Challengers Enter the Game

The non-moterized disciplines will once again deliver elite-level action:

The standings are about to get shaken up by familiar faces:

👉 Lennox Zimmermann

👉 Lucas Huppert

Both are stepping into Munich with one goal: to win.

They're not here to play it safe. They're here to attack the leaderboard and mix up the rankings. But don't forget about the athletes who are here to defend their positions: Tom Pfeiffer, Alejandro Bonafe, Petr Castka, Maty Pekarek, Reto Heini, Tobias Freigang, Leon Binckebanck and Jerome Hollinger.

From the 10-metre tower, spectators can expect triple flips, complex rotations and edge-cutting trick combinations.

After Berlin's dramatic opener, Munich is set to deliver the next chapter in what is shaping up to be a highly competitive and unpredictable 2026 season.
