A Battle for the Ages
For the first-ever NIGHT of the JUMPs stop in Düsseldorf, fans were treated to the full championship drama. The FMX riders went head-to-head in two qualifying groups, each athlete given just 90 seconds to unleash eight of their biggest tricks — the perfect mix of risk and precision.
Hannes Ackermann (GER) opened the night with a stylish run, landing combos like the Holygrab, Seatgrab Indy Flip, and Cliffhanger Backflip for 70.67 points. But Poland’s Mikolej Tempka quickly raised the bar, sending a Cordova Flip and Tsunami Flip to score 76 points.
Then came the five-time World Champion Maikel Melero (ESP), who showed why he’s a living legend. His flawless Tsunami Flip, Frontflip No-Hander, and Nac Frontflip scored an incredible 88.67 points, sending him straight to the final. Joining him was Davide Rossi (ITA), whose run of Deadbody, No-Hand Frontflip, and 1-Hand Nac earned 81.67 points.

Luc Ackermann Steps Up
The second qualifying group was equally fierce. Rising Czech talent Pepa Aron crashed in his comeback run, opening the door for Paul Manesse (FRA), who posted 73.67 points with tricks like the 1-Hand Can Flip and Lazyflip. Spain’s Marc Pinyol, known for his explosive energy, dominated his heat with a Frontflip and Surfer Tsunami Flip combo.
Then came Luc Ackermann, the German powerhouse and fan favorite. Calm, focused, and fearless, he sent a statement run with a Tsunami Flip, 360, Frontflip, and Double Backflip, locking in his spot in the grand finale.

Finals: One of the Greatest in NIGHT of the JUMPs History
The crowd roared as Davide Rossi dropped in first for the final round, delivering a textbook performance packed with clean Frontflip combos and backflip variations to score 81.67 points.
Marc Pinyol attacked the course with full throttle, attempting massive tricks like the Indy Frontflip and Cordova Backflip, but small errors kept him from the podium — finishing fourth despite a strong Cali Roll and Superman Frontflip combo.
Then Maikel Melero took the stage and put on a masterclass: Cali Roll, Seatgrab Indy Flip, Suicide Frontflip, Cliffhanger Flip, and more — the kind of run only a five-time World Champion can deliver. His 91.87 points put him on top… for the moment.
But Luc Ackermann wasn’t about to let history slip away.
What followed may have been the most perfect run in NIGHT of the JUMPs history.
Luc unleashed an insane sequence:1-Hand Double Backflip, 360 Nac, Nac Frontflip, Suicide Frontflip, Tsunami Flip, Holygrab to Rock Solid, and a Doubleflip Nac Nac — a display of unmatched power and control.
When the scores dropped — 92.00 points — the PSD BANK DOME exploded. Luc Ackermann was not only the event winner, but also the 2025 NIGHT of the JUMPs World Tour Champion — his fourth career title.
Side Battles and Epic Highlights
The energy didn’t stop there.
In the Best Whip Contest, Italian style king Davide Rossi and Spain’s Marc Pinyol went head-to-head in an epic whip showdown, with Rossi edging out the win thanks to deafening crowd cheers.
The Synchro Contest saw Spain strike gold again, with Melero and Pinyol’s perfectly timed Flatliners, Seatgrab Flips, and Tsunami Flips sealing the victory.
The MTB Competition is getting serious
The MTB/Scooter Best Trick was another jaw-dropper:Germany’s Lennox Zimmermann (Red Bull) landed a Triple Backflip and Aussie Roll (360 Double Backflip) to take the win, while Spain’s Alejandro Bonafe claimed second — but flipped the ranking in the season overall standings, where he finished ahead of Zimmermann.
And then there was Dan Miller (CZE), whose Double Frontflip earned him the “Trick of the Day.” Despite crashing twice in the finals, his innovation was unforgettable.
