NIGHT of the JUMPs Dresden Sets a New Global Benchmark in Freestyle Motocross
25 years of history. 25 years of insane airtime, roaring engines, and boundary-pushing tricks. And still, NIGHT of the JUMPs hasn’t lost a single ounce of energy. Quite the opposite — the anniversary event on June 14, 2025, at Dresden’s iconic Rudolf-Harbig-Stadium may have set a new gold standard for what’s possible in Freestyle Motocross and beyond.
Yes, we say it with humility — but also with a sense of responsibility: What took place in Dresden could very well go down as one of the most impactful events in the history of Action Sports. From the very beginning, it was clear this was more than just a celebration of the past. It was a bold statement about the future.
A Stadium Shaking With Energy – And Young Fans Leading the Charge
Over 11,000 fans filled the seats, many of them incredibly young — a clear sign that the next generation of action sports enthusiasts is not just watching, but fully onboard. The energy was electric, the atmosphere unbeatable.
It’s proof that NIGHT of the JUMPs, the world’s longest-running FMX series, is not just still alive — it's evolving, growing, and more relevant than ever.

World-Class FMX – And a New World Record
The world’s best Freestyle Motocross riders put on an unforgettable show. Frontflips, Tsunami Flips, Double Backflips — every trick felt like a punch to gravity. Spain’s Marc Pinyol even set a brand-new world record: a backflip off a 12-meter-high cherry picker. Pure madness.
IFMXF WORLD TOUR CHAMPIONSHIP
In the final, Australian rider Pat Bowden unleashed a near-perfect run that included a Tsunami Flip, Christair Flip, Frontflip Superman, and the massive Double Backflip. He edged out German star Luc Ackermann by just five points — though Ackermann’s run, with multiple Double Backflips and 360s, was nothing short of spectacular. He remains at the top of the World Tour leaderboard.

Legends, Olympians & Music Royalty Among the Crowd
Even national icons couldn’t stay away: 12xBob World Champion and 4xOlympic Gold Medallist Francesco Friedrich, Biathlon Olympic Champion Michael Rösch, and global DJ superstar Purple Disco Machine were all in attendance. Friedrich and Rösch even hosted the Best Whip Contest — where Czech sensation Matej Cesak claimed the crowd’s heart and the win.

New Heights for MTB and BMX – Literally
NIGHT of the JUMPs introduced a massive MTB/BMX segment with a towering new structure that enabled riders to send next-level tricks into orbit. Spain’s Alejandro Bonafe wowed with a Twister Tailspin to take the win, while 16-year-old Red Bull phenom Lennox Zimmermann landed a mind-blowing Triple Backflip.
“With this massive set-up, we’ve not just added BMX and MTB – we’ve created a whole new format with global potential. And believe me, we’re just getting started,” said NIGHT of the JUMPs founder.

Eurotramp Goes Big – Trampoline Action for the Masses
Even in a huge venue like the Rudolf-Harbig-Stadium, the Eurotramp Freestyle show didn’t get lost — it captured the crowd in its own way. Big tricks, high style, and even a historic moment: the first-ever backflip on a Simson scooter, landed by German athlete Eddy Frech.
From Dresden to the World
From the synchronized backflips of the Ackermann brothers to FMX legends battling it out, from new school MTB prodigies to iconic DJ guests in the stands — NIGHT of the JUMPs in Dresden was more than an anniversary.
The 25th Birthday Party was a clear statement, a message to the global action sports scene: This isn’t the end of an era. It’s the start of something even bigger.
